Dr Robert Dunlop is the Clinical Director of Clinical Solutions in Elsevier, the global medical and scientific publisher. He trained as a General Physician in New Zealand and is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians as well as a Member of the Royal College of Physicians and Fellow of the Royal Society of Medicine. Dr Dunlop has more than 25 years’ experience in the development and implementation of declarative Artificial Intelligence solutions, based on the Arezzo technology developed by Cancer Research UK and acquired by Elsevier in 2015. National implementations of Arezzo have included: a New Zealand-wide rollout to 95% of family physicians; the NHS Direct Health and Symptom Checker; the NHS24 telephone triage service in Scotland; and an occupational health solution across Australia. Most recently, Dr Dunlop was involved in the first successful AI implementation conducted by NITI-Aayog in India. The Health AI Catalyst project was co-sponsored by UK Department of International Trade. Multiple Government of India Standard Treatment Guidelines were delivered via mobile app to frontline health workers in Bahraich, Uttar Pradesh. Dr Dunlop is supporting the wider rollout of this solution, both within India and globally.
